fridays

Friday is definitely the most playful day of the week. Yay, this part of the week is finished, let's go celebrate! Or commiserate if need be. No, Friday is the day you can let your hair down and chill out a bit, because whatever you haven't done yet can always wait.

It can always wait ... unless you are in newspapers! Haha. So true. (Sigh.) This week, Saturday was my Monday. I'm ready for Wednesday (Friday)!!

When I worked office jobs, Friday was my favorite day of the week simply for the time of 5PM ON FRIDAY!!! Yes!!!! No time felt better in the world. :) (when I was a server, it was a totally different story).

Hey Jen, I don't think I could handle your schedule, but I suppose you get used to it? Any advantages over working Monday to Friday?

I remember that feeling too Krissa. And while not working in a regular job has its many perks, I do sometimes miss that particular OMG-I'm-free! feeling. I guess we truly can't have it all. ;)

No advantages, really. I am very jealous of 9 to 5ers who work Mon-Fri. And I get no holidays! Woohoo! I mean, I LOVE working holidays.

But... I'm doing what I love ... right? :)

I try to treat every day like a Friday, or else I don't sleep at night. I'd worry about mistakes in the paper (did I remember to change that "there" to "their" on page A3???) and wonder what would happen to me tomorrow if I didn't.

I sure hope my sarcasm came across correctly.

Yep, it came across just fine. :)

I know what you mean about worrying about mistakes. Even though I think I'd make a good proofreader, if I was doing it for pay I'm sure I'd be paralyzed with fear. And mortified if I did make a mistake. Silly of course, but that's me! ;)
