a taste of spring
Am pleased to report that even though it wasn't quite warm enough yet to sit outside today, I WAS able to wear my denim jacket as opposed to denim coat when I did my errands—woohoo!
p.s. am working on the Canadian book list as we speak, so to speak ;)

And the good news is, you'll always have a place to sit outside, what with your landlord screwing the deck chairs into the deck. :) That's actually a good idea. ... Happy to hear the warmer weather is on its way!

Actually, I almost never use the deck chairs. Like a cat, I move to where the sun is (and bring my portable chair along)! :)

Did your landlord nail down the deck chairs because of wind? Racoons? Neighborhood children? ... Speaking of nailed down places to sit..Did I tell you that a few blocks away on a major street (Frankfurter Allee) there are park benches anchored into cement that the vandals here managed to detach from the cement and overturn? Not all of them, but some. Probably the same idiots who are out in the street loud and drunk at noon.

Wind and laziness I believe. Snort. Couldn't be bothered to bring them in for winter so nailed them down instead. Nailing them would have been more work methinks, but oh well.
Yeah, we've got benches in the park that get overturned a lot too. They're REALLY heavy but kids manage to do it anyway.

Unfair, unfair I say! Winter's coming here although we haven't had the heating on yet. F is getting a, um, doghouse for winter. :-//. More on that later.

Not to worry mum. We're in the middle of a snowstorm as I type!
Alas, the taste of spring did not last....

Hey, the time of my comment is out by an hour. Oops, forgot to change the template I guess.

That happened here too (well, without the snow storm). We had some lovely spring-like days and then today was cold and rainy. That cleared up though and the birds have been singing tonight and it's just about the prettiest sound I've ever heard, I think.
