You have my sincere sympathy. ... It's funny, I remember Maxine from years ago, but I didn't remember that there were so many heat related ones. ...I hope you have more reasonable weather today!

When it would get hot in San Francisco in my apartment without AC, I would take cold showers ALL DAY. I feel bad now for wasting so much water.

I'll take a cold bath, but then somehow get hot again just drying off! No, I just don't do too much on the really bad days, except whine and complain to anyone who'll listen. ;)

You weren't wasting water, Bogdan's mom...it may have saved your life! I have taken cold showers up to 4 times a day when I lived in climates with heat and humidity. My heartbeat gets irregular when I am overheated thanks to inherited health problems from my mom. And KJM, I know exactly what you are describing..in NYC especially I would take a shower and while I was trying to towel off, I had to fight the sweat. It was an endless battle: Me vs The Sweat. The Sweat always won. :( ... Let's all of us send our heat to Dakota!!! :) ha ha! (only if you really, really want it!).
